Three individuals linked to the 'Cabrera Sarabia' criminal faction have been detained in Mexico City. Mexican authorities seized 50 kilograms of methamphetamine and arrested three members of 'Cabrera Sarabia', a criminal group affiliated with the Sinaloa Cartel and the 'Los Mayos' faction, which deals in synthetic drug trafficking in Mexico City. In a statement, the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) reported that the illicit substances and detained individuals were located near a shopping center in the Guadalupe Tepeyac neighborhood, north of the Mexican capital. 'A special operation was deployed where three people were detained and 50 kilograms of methamphetamine, as well as a vehicle related to the events, were secured,' the document highlighted. It also specified that intelligence operations and international cooperation mechanisms were led by SSPC elements, the Attorney General's Office (FGR), National Defense, Navy Secretariat (Semar), and National Guard (GN), in coordination with the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC). The criminal cell of the 'Cabrera Sarabia' brothers operates mainly in the northern of the country, as it is linked to the 'Los Mayos' faction or drug lord Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada, who is detained in the U.S. Last year, the apprehension of one of its main operators, Édgar 'N', alias 'El Limones', was ordered, which the head of Mexico's SSPC, Omar García Harfuch, considered a 'direct blow' to the structure of the 'Los Cabrera' criminal cell, which was also dedicated to extorting merchants and ranchers.
